Terms & Conditions

Welcome to TechKnow Solutions. We provide technology assistance and support services for seniors in Brisbane City & inner suburbs. By receiving our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Services Provided

TechKnow Solutions offers a range of IT help services, including device setup, software installation, troubleshooting, and guidance on using technology. Our services are provided on a best-effort basis, and we do not guarantee that every issue can be resolved.

Service Limitations:

We do not:

  • Offer hardware repair or warranty services.

  • Provide support for software not legally owned by the client.

  • Support any illegal activity or unlicensed software.

2. Fees and Payments

Service fees are based on the type and duration of service provided. All fees will be agreed upon prior to starting service.

Our introductory offer is $59 per hour for the first session. For subsequent sessions, the standard rate is $99 per hour, with a discounted rate of $79 per hour (20% off) available for holders of a Seniors Card or Senior Savers Card. Rates are billed per hour or part thereof, and terms may change without notice.​​

  • Payment: An invoice with payment instructions will be provided upon completion of the service.Payment is due upon service completion, unless otherwise specified. Payment can be made via cash at the time of service or bank transfer.

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee.

  • Additional Fees: Any additional services or travel beyond the agreed scope may incur additional fees.

3. Liability

While we take every precaution to protect your devices and data, [Your Business Name] is not liable for:

  • Any data loss or damage to devices that may occur during service.

  • Issues resulting from prior work by other service providers or pre-existing device conditions.

We recommend that you back up your data before we provide service.

4. Privacy and Confidentiality

Your privacy is important to us. We collect only the information necessary to provide you with effective service. We will not share your information with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.

  • Data Handling: We may access your devices only to complete the service requested. Sensitive information is kept confidential.

5. Terms of Service

You agree to:

  • Provide access to necessary equipment, devices, and accounts for the service to be completed.

  • Notify us of any special requirements or restrictions beforehand.

TechKnow Solutions reserves the right to refuse or terminate service if conditions are unsuitable or if behavior is deemed inappropriate.

6. Warranties and Guarantees

We do not guarantee that all issues will be resolved. However, we aim to offer reasonable solutions and support during and after service to the best of our ability.

7. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, we are committed to resolving any issues in a fair and efficient manner. If necessary, disputes may be escalated to mediation.

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will be posted on our website or provided upon request.
